We recently received an impressive contemporary apartment design from Juraj Karlík, of Neopolis Studio. According to the press release we were sent, the project belongs to designer Vierka and we were happy to see that it is located in a city that we did not yet cover on our site: Bratislava, Slovakia. The flat consists of a large open plan living room, joined with kitchen and dining area. Two entrances connect this space with the outdoor terraces. All furniture and interior elements were custom designed and developed in order to provide sense of space. The loft also features a children’s room with custom made bunk beds, working zone and storage spaces. The last room of the apartment is the parent’s bedroom, with a design that inspires tranquility. Except for the main rooms, there are two bathrooms, one separate toilet and separate technical room with washing machine. The interiors seem to naturally follow one another and the whole apartment literally shines due to glossy, but tasteful finishes.
Green in the girls’ bedroom coupled with pink works surprisingly well and it elegantly complements other colors such as brown and orange as well. Working with more than 3 or 4 bright colors in a room requires great care, perfect planning and a hint of ingenuity that lets each hue standout even while blending with the overall look. While it does sound like a risky proposition, get it right and you will have a playful kids’ room that is a visual treat.
Emerald is a color that has consistently topped trend charts in recent times and its jewel-toned glamor is perfect for bedrooms with Hollywood Regency style. Malachite pattern and color is also a smart choice if you love that luxurious look in the bedroom while eclectic bedrooms drenched in green goodness steal the show with sheer audacity and flair.
