The 727 Forest Street Residence was designed by studio 3BY Architecture and is located in Denver, Colorado, USA. Structured on two levels and accommodating four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a two car garage, the 3900 square-foot home impresses due to its sustainable features and clean, modern interiors. According to the official architects’ description,“the home is sensitively designed and compatible with its surroundings while setting a new benchmark for contemporary, user-friendly and environmentally-sensitive design. This green home provides energy efficiency, comfort and a healthy indoor environment while reducing the impact on the environment. The interior is light filled and open with high ceilings, polished concrete radiant heated floors and an extraordinary floating open steel and wood stair. The entire south side of the House has walls of glass that open to two private courtyards and the back yard. The indoor/outdoor living areas blur together and become one”. Inside the school, a wall made of cross-laminated timber separates classrooms from the main corridor, providing a space for storage and study. With very little to work with, the architects have managed to create a building that is much more than just the sum of all of its parts
These days, a building doesnt just have to look good, it should ideally be good for the environment too. A great example of sustainability spliced with style from the past few years is the M&S store at Cheshire Oaks Retail Park in Ellesmere Port, designed by Aukett Fitzroy Robinson.
